Nolar Industries offers a variety of materials for filtration applications. The choice of material for your application depends on the nature of the substances being filtered, as well as factors such as desired filtration efficiency, operating conditions, cost-effectiveness, and any other special requirements you may have. Our materials are offered in various weights, widths, and roll lengths.

Spunbond Polypropylene is the most cost-effective material we offer for filtration. It provides an effective barrier against particles, contaminants, and microorganisms while allowing liquids and air to flow through. For example, this material can capture and retain dust, pollen, metal particulates, and diatomaceous earth. Common applications include air filtration, liquid filtration, food and beverage processing, automotive filtration (air filters), and battery separators.

Spunbond Polyester is widely used in filtration applications. Though more expensive than Spunbond Polypropylene, it offers better filtration efficiency and is still more cost-effective than some other filter materials. Similar to Spunbond Polypropylene, Polyester is used in air filtration (including HVAC and automotive air filters), liquid filtration, and industrial filtration. It is a popular choice for pleated pool filter cartridges due to its filtration efficiency, durability, and resistance to environmental factors. Spunbond Polyester is well-suited for pool environments as it can withstand exposure to chemicals, sunlight, and water. It is also naturally resistant to mold and mildew growth.

Nolar also offers Spunbond Nylon nonwoven material, which is suitable for filtration applications that require more intensive chemical resistance, high tensile strength, and thermal stability (melting point of approximately 260°C/500°F). Some common applications include liquid filtration, automotive filtration (fuel and oil filters), chemical filtration, food and beverage processing, and pharmaceutical filtration.
